Lead Floral Designer
I was born and raised in rural Connecticut, surrounded by woods and farms, it's undoubtedly where my passion for all-things nature truly blossomed. Years of garden center retail lead me on a path to an education in Landscape Architecture and a landing at Rouvalis Flowers where I took over this Boston establishment with Sean in 2009.
Q What is your favorite flower?
My love for Sweet peas is strong! But I'm totally a 'flavor of the week' gal, depends on the weather, the season and my current color crush! Definitely unusual and textural - always.
Q When I’m not at Rouvalis you’ll find me:
Waterside, whether the beach or a lake, soaking in the sun. Or hiking in the woods with my pup. I like to really take time to enjoy nature and immerse myself in all its beauty. It’s where I take in most of my inspirations for design.

I grew up in western Massachusetts where I was involved in plants since I can remember; doing yard work and plantings, it created a desire to learn more about the design aspect of it all. I moved to Boston to attend Boston Architectural College and studied Landscape Architecture.

Floral Designer - Events
I am a lifelong Bostonian and am so happy living in New England. I have always been creative and love working with all kinds of different mediums to make art. I also love being in nature, learning about and exploring the outdoors. Floral design was an obvious choice for me, I started in high school and have been addicted to it ever since.
Q What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way
Make ice cream. In the summer down the Cape, my grandpa, my cousins and I make homemade ice cream. There is nothing better, store bought doesn’t even compare.
Q What is your favorite flower?
As far as plants go, I really love them all. A few that stand out are bougainvillea and nasturtium, I love how bright their blossoms are and usually have them on my deck in the summer. I also love philodendron selloum, they have the most dramatic leaves.
